Hiya

Can run calibration in N4 demo but it does not take effect - car always
pulling hard right and to drive straight requires wheel to be pulled hard
left.

Any ideas?

  It sounds like you are driving the wrong way around the tracks....this is
the exact
opposite of everyone else's complaints...
   Actually I think you may have another device hooked up to your computer?
A gamepad or joystick maybe?  If so, try removing it via the windows game
controller control panel
and see if that fixes it...remember to calibrate in windows first and then
calibrate in
the game and assign each function...left  and right...gas and brake...
shifters  etc.
