AMA Suberbike Controller Setup

Guys,
    I just downloaded the AMA Superbike Open Beta and I cannot setup my
Mad Catz 4 button gamepad. The gamepad is identical in looks and shape
to a Playstation gamepad if that will help. When I play the game the
throttle is stuck wide open and it will turn to the left by itself. The
controller setup interface is so confusing and I cannot figure out how
to remap the buttons for my throttle, brake or steering. Also, what are
all these "sliders" in the contoller setup menu?? I didn't see anything
about the above issues in the readme file?? Am I missing something???
PLEASE HELP!!!!

  I'll let the Mtrsms guys handle the technical stuff.  You can choose
from a list of many controllers or assign each item to a pad function.
try choosing one of the other gamepads see if that helps.  Then/or go up
near the top and chose the option for steer left and then move your pad.
do the same for each input(right, gas, brake, lean etc) if you have
enough buttons.  Good luck...

oh the sliders control the "amount" of movement your input makes so when
the slider is at the top you are say steering at full lock.  the more
distance between first and last sliders will determine how abrupt your
steering/throttle/brake inputs will be on the bike.
