FF choices help

I was wondering if someone could give me a list of advantages and
disadvantages comparign the Microsoft FF Wheel and the Thrustmaster ForceGT.
I can't find the info I need to compare them.  What type of sensors do they
use: pots or optical?  Force amount?  Reliability?  I will be mainly racing
NLegends and N3.  Thanks alot!

Between those two, I'd definitely go with the MS.  It uses optical sensors,
at least for the wheel, and has strong forces.  Pretty good pedals, too.
Others to consider are the Logitech Wingman Formula Force and the ACT Labs
(*not* Interact) - all are around $100-$150 and have good reports.  I use
the MS FF with NL and N3 and it works very well.

The TM Force wheel has a reputation as being a resource hog, and being
fairly flimsy.  I haven't seen any good reports on it, so I'd put that one
on the avoid list.

I use the ACT LABS RS FORCE and think highly of it... Good buy, and you can
even buy cartridges that allow you to hook it up to a Nintendo 64 or
Playstation game console as well.  Very strongly built as well. Only
drawback is that there is no shifter on it, just buttons... but they are
coming out with a shifter add-on that actually has a shifter gate, no up and
down only movements... have to see how well that works if it will even work
with games like NASCAR 3 though... as for the pots, I don't really know,
this is also the only FF wheel I have ever used so I don't know about the
strength, but it's fairly strong... it has helped my lap time tremendously
by the way... now you can tell when you're loose or not...

The TM has a 2nd gen version that is "supposed" to use less cpu
cycles.
the MS version has some fps problems with various sims.   It too may
have a fix available.
Act Laps RS and Logitech Wingman Formula Force offer USB connections
which have shown in 'some' cases to improve framerate.
Every wheel and pedal seems to have some drawback.  If possible, it
would be best if you could test the units at someone's home or at at
store to see the difference in performance.
