It's over I think. They will probably be releasing the patch soon.

Thanks.
I kinda had that feeling too.
To bad considering all the unresolved problems that still abound.
Thanks for nothing Sierra/Papy. You guys could have just left things the way
they were if this latest version of the patch is the best you have to offer.

Are you kidding? Don't you see improvements from the original game?

Improved mirrors, improved chatting hability in the arenas (before you
select the race), connectivity has been improved; those who didn't
download the fixes for the wheels (deep dish wheels that no longer look
like flat hockey pucks). Just install it and telle *ME* what you think.
Granted, the last beta didn't fix anything, but to so thanks but no
thanks is a bit too much...

Well....  As the process went on, warping lessened for me and connection
issues seemed to improve. That was until the last two patches that were
released very close together.

For me, I've seen worse racing conditions with the last patch 1106 than
1104. Others reported the same thing. Not sure how widespread the issue
is/was. Unfortunately Papy didn't seem to want to address it. 1106 seems
closer to 'out of the box' N3 while 1104 was closer to TEN (for me).

It would have been nice to have gotten an answer or heard something from
them regarding the issue.. that they looked into it... or it was too
late... or ~something~. They didn't respond. There was some push on the
brd for some backwards testing to determine if the people noticing a
degradation of online gameplay with 1106 would see improvement with 1104
(or a stealthly reissued 1104 in order to not 'bias' the testers). But
nothing was heard from Papy on the issue.

I hate to slam Papy considering all the good they have done with racing
simulations but their silence on the 1104 vs 1106 connectivity issue
reminded me of the MS CPR 'beta test'. Maybe there was a common
denominator amongst those who had issues with 1106 connectivity quality
but Papy's ignoring the posts on the subject effectively kept the issue
from being 'sussed out' or resolved.

If 1106 is indeed the release version then I can say... for whatever
reason... 1104 was the better OVERALL patch (for me). Others have said
likewise.

Thank you for stating the exact same thoughts I have on this issue in a much
nicer manner than I would state them.

I find 1106 to be far and away the best release of N3 we have used
in our league. Connectivity, car response, car behavior, all are
far better than any other version that has been released to date.
Can race side by side inches apart without wrecking as long as you
have taken the time to tune your internet connection. If you are
not capable of doing that, it's not Papyrus's fault. Almost all
of the problems any of our drivers have, connection wise, are due
to using winmodems instead of on-board controller based modems.
Any problems we run into now are generally with WON and you can
always opt to connect via IP address when WON is acting up.

Right now our only major concern is with the invisible cars on
pit road at Vegas. That was a problem from day one of N3 and is
not related to any of the patches, although I do not understand
why it has not been fixed.
