NFS:PU speedometer

I seem to have a problem with the speedometer in NFS:PU. In the Boxster
S, for example, the maximum speed in the speedometer is at
times 250 km/h, sometimes it's 300 km/h, even when I don't change the
car's setup at all. Does the game control my choice of gearbox, or is
there just a bug in the speedometer? The 2000 911 Turbo speedometer's
maximum also seems to be totally random, 250 km/h or 300 km/h,
regardless of the setup.

Never noticed this -- I use the "MPH" setting, rather than "KPH," plus,
I watch the tach more than the speedo.  If I'm passing people and
they're not gaining on me, I usually don't care how fast I'm going. <G>

<G>

You are right, there's usually no need to watch the speedo. In fact,
this didn't start to bug me until the last Evolution-race with the 2000
Turbo. I had noticed the fact that sometimes the maximum in the speedo
was 250 km/h, even with the 911 GT1 in the Factory Driver-mode, which
was strange, but I just thought some cars didn't exceed that speed
(which was quite hard to believe of the GT1!). But when Boxster's speedo
sometimes had a 300 km/h max, and 2000 Turbo sometimes only 250 km/h,
without changing the setups at all, I thought I should ask someone if
they've had the same problem...

Yes, I see the same things sometimes, and a few bugs here and there
when leaving the race in a tournament (and gettin dumped to the menus),
but overall, I love this game, so.... Anyway, you're not crazy...;-)
