Mobil 1 BRC: ral.cfg question

by F50 G » Fri, 06 Feb 2004 02:51:38

Hello all!

Just got back into this game and created a ral.cfg file in the C:\rc\var
directory with

nofmv=1
patchstickygrass=0

I installed the patch (v5.3, rcpatch6.zip) but the sticky grass still
exists.  I had this working before but just did a format and jumped to
XP Pro.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks!

Here is a copy and paste of my ral.cfg:

fizpatch=1; physics switch
nofmv=1; do not show the intro avis
replaykeys=1; enable replay keys
noautoneutral=1; dont engage neutral after crash
nonlinearsteering=1; set non-linear steering
logfile=0; do not create log file
sensiblesaving=1; save between stages
patchgravity=130; set gravity to 130% of normal gravity
patchbrakegrip=30
patchslidegrip=95
joymode=3; set 3 axis Wheel+Pedals

I think the important line is 'fizpatch=1' which turns on the variables

Here's mt ral.cfg - with a few more tweaks (more slidey, save between
every stage, allow 2 controllers for wheel/pedals, etc):

;Configuration file for Rally Championship 2000 (c) by Magnetic Fields
; ... keep on rallying ...
fizpatch=1; physics switch
noautoneutral=1; dont engage neutral after crash
sensiblesaving=1; save between stages
patchgravity=98; set gravity to 98% of normal gravity
patchdamages=200; set damage to 2x normal damage
patchbrakegrip=50
patchaccelgrip=110
patchslidegrip=95
patchgriptarmac=93
patchgripgravel=80
patchgripmud=93
patchgripsnow=88
patchgripgrass=85
sparksmode=1; display yellow sparks
patchmaxdrawdistance=16; set objects drawing distance
nofmv=1; no intro Full Motion View
mergejoy=1; merge different input devices       ;
patchstickygrass=0    ; I assume 1 is normal 0 is no stickygrass

Thanks for the replies.  I added the fizpatch line.  It's too bad
"sensiblesaving" doesn't allow you to save during Arcade Mode.

I'll try it later tonight.
