Yeah, my advice is to keep your game station (usually running
some mutant form of windows) separate from your machine for
productive work (usually running Linux, at least in my case).
If you have only one machine, keep stuff in separate partitions.
I haven't had to re-install windows in nearly three years now,
just by near-religiously following the the above policy. Try it, it
might work.
