NFS:PU - Accelleration

Gents,

After doing some online racing (and getting my ass handed to me) I'm
wondering if others are having problems getting off the mark using a
LWFF?

I thought the AI was cheating by leaving me on the start like I was
standing still, however, was getting the same treatment online with
identical cars. 20 seconds into the race and the other cars are out of
sight!

Do I just suck getting off the line, or are others experiencing the same?

Cheers,
Rod.

As far as I could tell, you basically got the stock model, no ability to
mod it. So the cars were identical. ;(

Might try it using Auto and keyboard and see if I get off the line
quicker.

Cheers,
Rod.

If you're having a problem getting the acceleration you used to have with the
keyboard after switching to a pedal or joystick setup, you might try this:
When calibrating the acceleration axis, don't push all the way down/forward.
It's possible that some software might not quite get those last couple of
numbers the joystick/pedal puts out when the sim actually starts.  So when you
floor it, the sim may not actually be getting full throttle.  When using a
keyboard, it's easy to tell the program "full throttle when you hit the up
arrow!"  Just a thought.
