physics since the demo and changes with the latest patch. Any feedback
welcome.
Also, how is the wheel to wheel racing? In this game are you usually
racing alone against the clock or can there be 10 cars around you dicing
for position?

My wife and I run time trials against each other...the first computer game we
have done together since...well, Space Quest on the old Tandy...........

Regarding the game, the graphics look great, but I can't tell you much else,
since it doesn't run right on my system. So, based on my experience with
it, at this point, I couldn't recommend it. If I ever get my controller
situation straightened out with this game, my opinion could very well change
though.

I don't have it yet, bit was on a forum for RT last night and some people
like the physics changes in the patch and others prefer the original physics
pre-patch. All say the steering is improved post patch - was too sensitive
before.
It's rally racing, you don't race wheel to wheel in rally racing, but there
is an arcade mode so you can do that too if you want in RT. Most rally games
have an arcade mode for racing wheel to wheel.
So one gets the choice of good physics racing alone against time or
arcade physics pack racing? Drat. Was hoping for a great looking off
road game with excellent physics AND tight group racing. Looks like I'll
stick with N4.
No. The arcade mode is just called arcade because you can race against other
cars and it is on circuit tracks. Same physics. Great game post patch.

"But in a way, fear is a big part of racing, because if there was
nothing to be frightened of, and no limit, any fool could get into
a motor car and racing would not exist as a sport." -- Jim Clark
No, arcade mode uses the same physics engine in arcade mode. It's just not a
realsitic mode and that's why it's called arcade mode.

Ah cool. I'll check this game out next time I'm at the store then.
Thanks for the replies everyone.

As others have posted already, the "arcade" mode (which is kind of mis-named)
pits you against other cars on a closed rally circuit. But the physics still
seem like Rally mode. Lots of fun.
Make sure to download the patch, which allows you to tweak your controller
sensitivity, and assign axes, if necessary (although it can be a bit confusing).
Overall, I can now say that I give it a thumbs-up.
