Haven't tried the demo but the full version is nothing like
you describe! After playing with steering and pedals sensitivity
this game rocks. The replay graphics are incredible.
The physics are extremely well done once you have the controllers
dialed in.

Steven that was in response to Leo Merikallio's post about the
lap times being faster if you learn how to bounce off walls
properly.

Tire chirp? Surely you must mean the anti-turbolag blowoff-valve? :)

DICE must have loved it too, because in the game *all* 4WD cars have
it, whereas in real life it is characteristically the Subaru Impreza's
"trademark".

Fall? WHAT!? I thought it was on for a july release? grrr... :(

I agree with Pete. I started this thread a few weeks ago, and to be
honest, although the graphics were superb, good handling and great
gameplay, I was a little frustrated at it's quirkiness in parts and it
not being as consistent (in my view) as CMR.

This was particularly is tarmac stage like Italy, where it was very
hard to brake without locking and spinning.

The answer to this is to go into Controller settings and adjust
the Scale (I think that's what it's called, it's the 3rd setting
anyway) to around 60 (128 by default). This has the effect of
lessening the amount of braking at full pedal travel. You can
experiment around here.

You can also check the percentage brake/throttle by holding down
the TAB key in the game and pressing brake/throttle.

Having spent quite a bit of time with the game, it really is very
good.

A tip is, if you are new to the game, use only F2 cars until you
get used to them, then WRC cars. Legend cars are faster and
much more difficult to control, but worth it.
