I don't know why but to this day i still use the default setup in every
race whether it is wet dry, or somewhere in the middle, or what track.
Maybe i'm just a jean alesi (ie able to drive arround problems). Yet i
always get pole even on the hardest level.

WWwwwhhayyyyyy racer!!
just a quick question - does anyone know how to
practice racing in the wet?? I'm just no good in the wet and would like
to practice.

I know you can setup a wet race in the "quick race" option - BUT you
cannot alter the car setup and the default setup is ***for the wet.
I saved a car setup with low gearing and big wings and tried to load that
setup into the program with the "load car setup" option when you start
the game - but it just doesn't seem to accept it! weird!!

ANy help?? any advice on wet racing?

> If you want to practice in the wet, how about getting hold of Trev

Kellaway's GPWET patch which allows you to set the probability of a wet
race.  Simply set the probability to 100% before you start the game and
you should be able to practice all you like.

You can find the patch and lots of others at

I think there is a problem related to car setups and quick races (if
I remember correctly).

You can use either of the following to force a "real" wet race (it's only
the race that will be wet, not the practice sessions or qualifying) ...

GPWET by Trevor Kellaway, http://www.racesimcentral.net/

F1Ed for Windows, by me.  http://www.racesimcentral.net/

You'll get DEMOLISHED when you enter an online competition like LFRS and only
use default setup! The computer cars are just waaaaaaaaay to slow for any
experienced F1GP driver.

To Sardev: just enter a *practice session* and set your car up and AFTERWARDS do
a quickrace. If everything goes right, you should have the practice setup in the
quickrace.

Hiya m8

What you need is a utility called GPWET.  It is availible from most gp web
sites.  When you get it set the probability to 100% and start f1.  Choose
mon champ race and then your track.  Then goto pre-race practice and you
will find you can practise in the wet!!!!!!  Kewl or what.
