Is it any good?  I haven't been able to find any reviews on the 'net,
so far.

Don't bother...
First of all, it's made by Davilex, a small Dutch company with a bad
trackrecord where games are concerned.

Well, that's because they sell their titles at $25 and hype it all
up...Everyone wants to race on the freeway, so that's why it sells...Davilex
released A2 Racer II (Dutch Freeway, A2 I mean) and that scored bigtime...At
least, it was better than #1, which I needed two tries for to complete...

...and this success is one of the biggest enigmas in the history of racing
games.
I never tried the game, but all comments I ever read about it said:
"It sucks!"...

These games (there were only German and Dutch version until now) are sold at
ALL kinds of shops ("Hello sir, so you want a refrigerator?" "No, a
computer!" "Ah, well, look here: this model is exactly right for you!"),
very cheap, with BIG adverti***ts by people who know nothing at all about
racing on computers ("Hi John, what kind of OS do you run on your computer?"
"Er... Wordperfect... Yeah, that's it... Great system...") The big succes
lies in the fact that in Germany and Holland these were the first games with
well known places of their OWN country. ("Ah nice, Amsterdam! Hm, cheap too.
Wow, the back of the box says it's great! Honey, may I buy this? Please,
darling?") I've played the Dutch versions, and they were both INCREDIBLE
CRAP. And still they were in the top 5 of software games for months... Even
at nr. 1! It's a miracle. The world is filled woth morons. Anyway, if you
ever played a racing game (be it Motorhead or GPL, Screamer or Nascar 2) and
you liked any of those, don't bother about these Davilex games. They suck
big time. And I'm ashamed they are made by a Dutch company.

It's OK for about 5 seconds then you'll want to do something more
interesting like crochet or stabbing your eyes with an ice pick.
I dont understand it. This format (street racing in "regular" cars)
obviously has a lot of appeal to people (me included) but none of the
games make even the attemt to be realistic. The closest thing to it so
far has been (I'm putting on the Nomex suit now <G> flame away) Grand
Tourismo.

From the replies, this sounds like the Euro equivalent of our "Deer Hunter"
series over here.  Sell 'em about half or less the price of other software,
and sell 'em in Wal-Mart, etc. - and you set sales records.
