Brake lock up with Logiteck FF

I just baught a Logiteck Wingman Formula Force and its a great wheel.  Very
precise steering and gear changing but the braking if horrible.  Its as if
it was an ON/OFF switch.  The travel being very short, its almost impossible
not to lock up the wheels.  I've tried adjusting the brake bias in GPL and
in the Wingman Profiler to no avail.

As anyone got around this problem ?

Thanks in advance for your help.  =:-D

Bob, you can easily install heavier springs in the pedal unit which, IMO, makes
a huge inprovement  to the Logitech Pedals. Take out the ten screws on the
bottom of the unit and seperate the two halves of the case, noting the position
of the pedals, springs and wiring. As you will see, the springs are simple
coils and replacements can be found in any decent hardware or plumbing shop.
Look for a spring with slightly thicker wire, don't worry about the length, you
can cut them to fit. I use a slightly thicker coil on the brake pedal to give a
more natural feel.

Hi Robert,

You can reduce the sensitivity of any/all axes in the Wingman Profiler
program.  ...should be a "W" in your system tray--double click on that
and adjust the axes (and map the buttons to keybrd functions) in the
resulting window.

I have my brake set at 50% and my accel at 75%.  This suits me for
most any game I run, including GPL.

Good Luck!

Brett
