I'm trying to put together a series of elite races for Live For Speed.
It will be held on Sunday's at 04:00pm (GMT).

What do I mean by elite? Well if you can lap, consistantly, under
1.33.xx in the GTI on the GP track then your in! It will more than
likely be 10-15 lap races

Ok, who fancies it? If there's enough interest, who knows maybe a
league could be formed!

I would love to but I can only get 134's :-(  ......has anyone got a tissue?

tissue?

<hands Darf a Cleanex>

For the record... laptimes are not an indication of someone's ability as an
online racer; as this elitist <censored> will find out when he brings
together his "dream league".

I don't know whether I've underbid 1m35s in the FWD yet and I don't care,
but I've raced both complete strangers and RAS regulars competently and
respectfully. And, in the end, that's all that matters.

As a matter of fact, I did. As I recall I told Ian Parker and <whatshisname>
to "bite me" at the time. ;-)

Consistently under 1:33? Won't it be boring to run races with just 2
or 3 drivers ;)

I didn't try LFS until last Friday, but I've played it for about 15
hours online since then (until my eyes were burning, LOL), and I
haven't seen anyone turn consistent 1.33's, RAS games or otherwise.

ATM...there are 6 known drivers doing consistent 32,s online

Rich Morgan
Cedje Dervo
Hielke Kerstma
Bernie Cruisin
Aorton
Arno De Rooij

Others have the odd 32.9x,as a PB but lap in the low to mid 33's.

So as said above me,it will be a small field in that race :)

Yeah, I think you got a mid 34 IIRC. Luckily I still managed a 1:34.00 ( was
really hoping to get into the 33s') in the same race, so bite me ;)
There's no way I can manage a sub 1:33 lap yet, well not in the GTi anyway.
My best outright is a 1:27.40 in the turbo, but that involved only two
wheels being left on the kerb let alone the track through the chicane after
T1. I think I also ran wide in the final tight right hander before the
bridge.

I'm too fast at 1.32.xx., you'll have to call your race 'Ace' or
something like that. *I* shall call my race 'Elite' and if you don't
like it, tough!!

Yours sneeringly

No doubt Cozy Powell will beat this in fifth gear, then you'll have to rename
your race to "Crap" or soemthing like that... :-)

"Jan Verschueren"  wrote

Right!  In '98 GTX was the MTM2 champion (out of several teams and racers,
the game was really big then. One race had a new $28,000 Toyota Tundra as a
prize). At the beginning of the '99 season we were in 2nd place and the team
captain (nice guy and very, very fast) left to start his own elite team of
racers. He took our 2 fastest drivers and some of the best from other teams.
The rest of team GTX pulled together, picked up a couple other drivers and
made it into the finals at the end of the season. And, once again, won the
championship.
