Actually, I think Crammond did an admirable job in how he handled this.

I didn't dis Crammond. Nor GP2. Nor Microprose. Well, okay: I did dis
MicroProse. Doesn't mean that I haven't been playing GP2 until I got GPL,
does it?
I'm just warning these guys that all they will get by helping to fuel the
"it'll be out this quarter!" blaze is a severe case of "I hate MicroProse"
when the release is INEVITABLY pushed back. And back.
Been there. And back.
I _will_ get GP3 when it makes the leap from vaporware to something my $50
will purchase. By then, tho, my bank account will have recovered from the
whole TSW trauma I've inflicted on it.
note: (And yes, I am making a point about it. My wheel hasn't arrived yet
[mid-March] and I'm in anguish about it. I think the shrinks call it
post-mortgage anxiety or some such tripe, but I'm hoping my run 'n coke
dependency will go away when the other thing arrives.)
Argh.

"Rum 'n Coke"
Heh, what was I thinking? Stopped all that other stuff ten years ago.

1. Mid-April
2. TSW2 Formula
3. Added paddles
Every review I have ever read was glowing. I have a friend I used to race
with online (about 4 years ago). He had a TSW (there was only the one kind,
then). He lived on peanut butter and Ramen noodles, but he had his TSW, and
said he'd never regretted the decision.
Eventually that started to sink in to me. My wife thinks I'm crazy to spend
so much on a "toy". My friend says that her husband is only slightly less
stupid by buyin gthe latest graphite fishing poles (we live in AZ -
different if CO), And the one guy at work that I respect just kind of shakes
his head.
And I'm still buying the thing!

Currently I have one of the original Thrustmaster T1 Limited (all metal)
wheels. It has been used on average an hour a day for almost five years -
mostly road courses. So far it has had one spring break, but no other
failures. Just recently (in the last two weeks) it has started to develop
"the jitters," and probably needs new pots. I'm trying to decide whether or
not it is worth going to a newer wheel with more features. My projected
budget for a new wheel was +-$500, making the TSW2 reachable without going
too far over. I can't yet convince myself to spend the additional $500 for
the difference in the TSW2 and the TSW99, Though I do like the thought of
having a real wheel, and want a round rather than a D-shaped wheel.

There are 3 games I can't wait for:
GP3, Cart 2000, and NHL 2000
NHL 2000 is already in production, but what about GP3 and CART 2000. All I ever
hear is freken rumors about these 2 games. Why isn' there any solid evidence
these days?
I'm willing to wait a bit more for Cart 2000... as long as it ends up being
a far jump above GPL and N3. And IT must have realistic damage model to
it...what passes for a "realistic" damage model in GPL is insane not to
mention it just doesn't work online. :)
And then we waited for another 18 months before GP2 actually hit the
retailers.
So please, please........let's retain our e***ment for a lttle while
yet! :o)
