GP2 stuttering problem

by Xan Magnisali » Fri, 30 May 1997 04:00:00

While racing on some tracks, GP2 seems to stutter (sudden braking and/or
acceleration). I have tried two Thrustmaster T2's, graphics detail is
set so that I only use about 70% of CPU max, braking, steering and
engine problems are turned OFF, I run from DOS.

I have Pentium 100MHz (overclocked from 75MHz), Matrox Millenium card
and 16MB of RAM. I use the gameport on my SoundBlaster card.

Has anyone experienced simillar problems?

Thanks, Xan

Just a shot in the dark.  Do you happen to have any power savings turned
on in your BIOS?  Harddrive power down, etc.?  I don't know that this
could cause a problem, but you might want to take a look at it.  Also,
you might want to "clean" the pots on your T2.  Find some Tuner/Switch
cleaner at a electronics supply store or your nearest Radio Shack.
