- Automatic viewing of all lap times recorded by GPLAPTIM
- Ability to call an external .PRF file viewer

Requirements
------------

- VGA video
- Mouse
- DOS 5.0 or later

New To This Version
-------------------

* Version 4.0     - Added support for GPPERF with graphical selection of all
                    options

                  - Added GPLAP v4.0 in place of GPLAP v3.1

                  - Fixed INSTALL.EXE so it won't display "File Not Found"
message if the user didn't have any .PIT files

                  - Fixed display if the user didn't have any .PIT files and
                    tried to load them:

If the user didn't have any .PIT files, but pressed the
Load button while in the CCPIT menu, the screen would not
display properly when returning from the Load option.

This also fixed the problem of loading a corrupt .PIT file
that would also corrupt the WCLAUNCH.CFG file.

                  - Updated manual to reflect additions

What does this file do? Is it a front end for Geoff Crammond's World
Circuit/Formula One Grand Prix game?

Anybody else had problems with this file?.... it seems to want all
F1GP (inc. GP.EXE) files to be in the C: root directory.

Cheers

Paul

No, it doesn't care where your files are.  However, WCLAUNCH must be run
from the SAME directory as World Circuit/F1GP.  That directory can be
anywhere.

OK, but no one ever posted a response: before I waste ftp-ing,
downloading time, what exactly *is* WCLAUNCH?  Post, don't reply;
other probably want to know too.  Thanks!

Well, I was hoping somebody else would answer that question.  I wanted to
hear from somebody else what they thought of the program.  Since nobody
has answered for you then I'll give you a short answer now.

If you have World Circuit/F1GP then you must have this file.  Somebody
else described it as a suite of programs.  I like that description, but
that's really what it is.

If you are familiar with F1ED, WCF1GP, CCPIT, GPLAP, QTYRE, SPLITTIM and
GPPERF then you know they are individual files to make using World
Circuit a more enjoyable experience.

You can think of WCLAUNCH as a program that makes the above programs more
enjoyable (read easier) to use.  It could be considered a suite of
programs.  All of the files listed above are included in the .ZIP file.

WCLAUNCH allows you to set up the configurations of these files and also
lets you easily swap around name files and DTA files (which are for the
F1ED editor program).

To answer your first question, the answer is yes.  WCLAUNCH is a front
end for World Circuit.  I'm pretty sure it will not be a waste of your
download time or effort.  It is available at didnt.doit.wisc.edu in
the /PublicFiles/Racing/F1GP/Editors directory.

PS - Please post here what you think of it after you download it.

I've never managed to get it to work. It hangs at the install
screen.

It is not called WCLAUNCH when it is zipped.  It is called WCCFGED4.ZIP.
