GP2: My first breakdown

I dusted off GP2 tonight, and ran a quick race around Italy (it ended up to
be a real quick race).  After qualifying on the pole at 1.30:111 (don't
laugh too hard, I'm using microprose's setups)against the easiest ai
setting, I felt fairly confident about the upcoming 54 lap race.  All
started well, but 4 laps in, entering the second set of esses, the rev's
suddenly hit the redline, and a little message said "transmission
problems".  Hello grass, nice day for a picnic.

Anyway, just thought I would share my experience.  I still think GP2 is a
decent game, even on my P75.  Too bad Microprose abandoned it.  G'night
all.

Bit of a bummer that. I've got a P60 and only get 14.2 fps with everything
off in svga, but like you I think it's a good game.

Just thought, maybe I've started a "My computer's slower than yours" type
argument (as opposed to "my set-up is faster than yours")

(I've ported GP2 across to my 8086 and in runs 2 fps in vga .....)
