A perfect description of the FIA! ;-)

I thought it did and was going to try it soon.
I think the so called FIA ban on multiplay is bogus (non existent).

The FIA, from what little I understand of it, seems to be more into
throwing its weight around and making money than doing things for the
benefit of the fans. They impress me as total control freaks. They
can control what happens in an offline situation, how the cars and AI
drivers behave, what the simulated awards cermonies and awards look
like, etc. Online racing leads to all kinds of subcultures and
cottage industries, none of which they can control or profit from, so
in their eyes, that is likely unacceptable.

Thanks!
You just saved me 2hrs of download time for the demo (when it arrives) and
$40 on a the game.
I've said this befoe and i'll say it again:
No internet multiplayer = no sale to this driver!

Mebbe so, but I have a sneaking suspicion that it's not the FIA (a sporting
body headed, ATM, by Max Mosely, son of Britain's infamous Nazi sympathizer,
and one of March's founders) that's throwing its weight around--in this
instance--but Bernie Ecclestone's various commercial groups, like FOCA (the
Formula One Constructors Association). Make my day.
For what it's worth, a Formula One license is probably worth more than a
license to race online, but a *** auto racing sim without a healthy
online component is DOA; they might as well not bother.

All of UbiSoft's games have *looked* great. Gfx has never been their
problem.

That's about it, most of their employees have limited knowledge of
motorsports (compared to per example Papyrus and other developers). It's a
game factory, so they just jump from title to title, they aren't focused on
doing *only* racing games.

The *first* thing I look for in any game I buy, is multiplayer capabilities.
If they are lacking - my interrest is gone.
What I cannot understand *at all* is why on earth anyone would release a
game without 'net-play in this century!?!? I seriously dont think I've
really raced AI's - since back in the NASCAR 1 days... and even then I'd
fork out $$$ to race online on 'Hawaii'. Although it cost me *alot* of
money [Int. calls to the U.S] - it got me hooked right away.
