Which is the best choice: Athlon XP 2600 or P4 2.5 (or 2.8?) GHz?

Are there some specific benchmarks for NR2003 with these CPU?

the 2.5 and the 2600 would be a close match - the Athlon taking it

They're about the same price - but the 2.8G is twice as expensive - so I'd
suggest the money would be better spent elsewhere instead of a 200mhz
increase in CPU speed

I have always been a diehard intel fan, till
now. IMO best boom for the buck
is the Athlon XP 2500. Coupled with
a Asus A7N8X and dual channel
DDR.   The answer to your
question relies heavily on what
graphics card u have.

For Intel, I think the 2.53 is the sweet spot right now.
