>I think you need to get a 3dfx card.

Yeah, then you get to have NFS2 operating at NFS1 frame rates - while
only sacrificing 90% of NFS1 features. Wow, that sounds great!

If I remember correctly (I haven't played it in a month or so), NFS2 SE added
-ONE- track, which was available in a free demo anyhow (unless there are more
secret tracks).  It added a bunch of new cars, though.

The main reason for buying it was the 3Dfx support, though.  All that was
added for 3Dfx support simply couldn't have been done with a mere patch,
unless that patch was 50+ megs in size.  The graphics were obviously
completely redone, and the weather changes were excellently done.  My only
gripe is that I can't go back to the in-car (with dashboard) view while
playing with 3Dfx.

Personally, I think the mirror and reverse modes are pretty good features.
They add a new challenge to each track.

I agree, NFSII SE is fantastic!!!!  I'm having a blast with it, and
I'm basically a flight sim guy!  I've tried it over the modem, but
have yet to try it in network mode using Kali.  Is this possible?
If it's already being done, what kali server do NFSII SE drivers use?
Thanks for any info you can provide.

I've tried it both over Kali and with tcp/ip over the internet and it works
ok.  You need a good connection and a fast machine.  Also you need to
upgrade via the internet to get the new patch.  People play on the Where to
Race server, but it's very hard to find someone willing to play, so you're
best off finding someone through email, message boards or ICQ and arranging
to meet them online.  Kali still isn't officially supporting it, so you
can't start a game in the lobby, which would solve this problem.  Email
