Anyone heard about a new racing game by Microprose? (Track Attack)
I just saw a few screenshots...its looks a lot like screamer and other
arcade racing games of that type. I didnt even see advertising for it
in the microprose's pages... The first time I heard about it was when
I placed my order for Gp2 at Chip'n'bits...there was something called
Track Attack , i thought it was a set of track for gp2 that was coming
out (it was stamped as Pre-order like gp2)

Anyway, if you want to see a few screenshots go to:

http://www.racesimcentral.net/

and check under GD review...

see ya

It might look nice but Track Attack plays like an absolute pile of shit.

It's been several years since I played a game that was just so bad to
control - it's next to impossible to just slightly correct your line -
the thing just veers around as if defying the laws of physics. Add to
that a pretty sluggish frame rate in VGA on a P90 and you have a pretty
poor game. The menus look nice though...

It sounds like Virtual Karts.  VK had the bug where the cart would constantly
pull severly to he left, regardless of whether you were using the keyboard or
a joystick.  I lost some respect for Microprose when they relased Virtual
Karts.  If what you say about Track Attack is true, then I want to publicly
say that I will NEVER buy anything from Microprose again (except for GP2).
They're starting to look like one of those companies that knowingly sell
either buggy products or just plain ***products and see how many suckers
they can get to buy them.

It got a terrible review in the July issue of PC-Power (26%) and if the
demo is
anything to go by even that's generous..

What type of game is that anyway, I hadn't even heard that it
existed...
