In any case, is he kidding? There is a PII333 on the market and he has
a P120. Obviously it's his first computer and mum and dad don't know
about upgrades :)

Yeah, my 286 with the super doopa ISA SVGA card can't even get this
thing up to speed. Any clues? I even put an extra 256k simm in the other
day. What a shock!

Yep! GPL seems a little  s  l  o  w   on my Apple II+  w/48k too;)
Maybe I need a faster monitor?!?

GPL: Demo is poorly optimized

hi
I agree I have a P90 with one
of those 'overdrive' chips in it
which is a p150 o/c to 166 and i
am happy with my 3dfx card and GPL.
i say to all those people who are unhappy
with GPL to learn about your pc's because it is not gonna
change for the near future.
I hate to talk this stuff because GPL
is so good and racing is what we should talk of
not dumb pc configs.
Mark

>I am running on an 32Mb P166 with Righteous 3D and it super smooth...

What's up with this??? What the dilliyo???
I have a P-200 with 128 Megs and a Monster3-D and it runs horrible on my box.
I would guess with all details on I get between 5-10fps

I don't understand?? Are y'all doing any optimizing to get these nice frame rates???
Maybe I need to download the demo again or something(I doubt it but dammit I want to drive this sim and I need the fps to do so)
HELP out everyone?? Suggestions, anything, etc. etc...............  :(

What driver are u running, I am using glide 2.43, slow as Dave Marcis

Get low frame rates at certain parts of the tracks far from smooth with
64Mb P166 and
a Rendition card !!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope Papy will fix this with a -4 switch or
something. NASREND & RENDDMA are night & day on my machine as stated in
another post too.They hopefully
will address this problem or it quite possibly won't be a big of a seller
as expected do
to the fact that most of us do not have a Pentium 50000 with 200 MB's of
ram. Papy
don't pull a GP2 on us Please !

Remember Mark:

"The configs are the gearbox for our computers"
or
"Better one well tuned p133 than a badly tuned p200mmx"

Bye!

Readme says P166 32 meg ram is minimum requirment. I'm running P166 64
meg edo ram , 512kb L2 cache , Diamond Stealth II 220( rendition ) , SB
Awe64 Gold and GPL runs fine...seems smooth to me.

Smoooooooooth!!! :-)
(I have a Millenium II 4 meg as well, but I dont think that has any effect)
