Sound like you have the famous Outlook Express Trojan called
"LSHSTGRI.dll"......oh man! When activated, it will alter your "view
settings" at random.

So long as you remember that all those emails and messages are still on your
hard drive. I'm giving OE a trial run since installing XP, but I've always
preferred Agent for both email and news, in Agent I just select the purge
read messages option manually to get rid of all the trash. OE is not bad
though, it's just not a power user's choice of news reader.

Heh...I use a 56k modem. I did have DSL too not long ago. Problem was their
news server was crap. I'm actually getting better response time from the
news server at eol.ca using a 56k modem than I did at sympatico.ca using
DSL. Only problem is downloading binary files is now soooo slow now.
NewsXpress?? -You gotta be kidding... did they ever get that to work?
