Its awesome....only been on The Ring Nordschleife all morning in my Lotus
Elise 111S using Logitech Driving Force wheel.....i will explore later :)

It is. The wait is over: I bought it Tuesday and clocked almost 20 laps
on the Nordschleife since (in a range of cars :-))

I noticed that the Golf V GTI has a bug: in automatic it won't go
further than 4th gear and in manual 4th and 5th appear to be identical
and 6th is okay.

Much later, that is :)

I begin to wonder what I have to achieve to unlock the Le Mans track. I
just want to race on tracks, I don't care about this Gran Turismo mode,
but I guess that's just the way things go in the *** scene.

The GT series has not traditionally had cheat codes. If you're really
deperate there will probably be Gameshark codes at some point. There
are also a couple "money races" that let you proceed through the game
quickly by easily winning cars worth $250,000.

But i found a new great experience as well as The Ring....Grand Canyon in
the 1986 Porsche 911...what a hoot had me glued to it for 90 minutes :)

gtplanet.net will tell you everything you want to know about GT4.
Including cars, tracks, along with how and where to win (unlock) them.

I think you have to just play x number of days in GT mode. Every
14th day (1, 15, 29 ...) you unlock another track. Sorry, but at
least in the US version, Le Mans is one of the last. So something
like day 280? All is not lost, you can cover a day by just
watching a race, or buying/selling a car, or getting an oil
change(?).

It has no inside realistic***pit view.. So it is not racing
simulation,it is a game for kids (like all PS2 games). By GTR if you
like to drive GT-cars.

GTR is the most over-rated sim development in history.

Heck even the GTP mod makes it look outdated.
