Black MOMO pedals--how to clean?

My black MOMO accelerator pedal pot is getting a bit jumpy, so I thought
I'll give it a cleaning to see if that fixes it.  Took out the 8 screws from
the underside of the pedals and ... ?????  How do you get into these things?

I wondered if there were screws under there but didn't want to ruin the
***--it wasn't peeling off when I tried to pry it with my screwdriver.

Thanks for the insight, though!

When you see how pathetically the pots are seated you'll probably find
that that is the issue rather than a failing pot. You can fit the end of a
cheap pen's plastic ink tube (approx 1/2 inch) over the *** and slide it
back in thus holding the pot nice and firmly in place. Then you have a
perfect set of peddles 'til the secondary brake spring fails! :)

JUst BE CAREFUL and GO SLOW as you take it apart!!  I took mine apart
to reseat the pot's and it came apart too easily and I had to refigure
how and where everything went to reassemble it...
