NR99 - Req: How To: Remove Starting SMK Video.

by DjFI » Mon, 28 Dec 1998 04:00:00

Hey,
My problem is I wish to have full install, but I have limited room
(and must share the hd with my brother, who has huge hd eating games.)
Is there a way to get NR99 to skip the video and go strait to the game
so I can delete the aprox 50mb video.

thanks for help.

Just delete the .SMK file from the directory (if you're using the DOS
versions you'll want to run the EXE's directly instead of using the
batch files).

You can edit the \sierra\nr1999\nr1999.bat file.  Delete the line that reads
"smackply nr1999.smk /U1 /N"
Then, delete the nr1999.smk file.

Then, you won't have to change any shortcuts on your desktop, or start menu.

This advise works with N2 not sure about 99:
Delete the video and run the exe not bat
