Has anybody seen this game? Is it any good? Better than N2? Just wondering.

wondering.
I believe it is only for the Playstation and Saturn, not for Dos/Win

Apples & oranges. NASCAR 2 is the definitive NASCAR simulation. NASCAR 98 is
a Playstation game where the operative word is fun first, realism second.
That's not to say that NASCAR 98 isn't fairly realistic, just that it wasn't
approached with the same fanatacism that NASCAR & NASCAR 2 were. If you want
the real deal on the Playstation, get Papyrus' NASCAR for the Playstation, but
the graphics and frame rate leave a lot to be desired. In NASCAR 98, you get
split screen racing, not all the tracks, but some extra fantasy tracks, a more
drivable car, more ability to bang doors with other cars, customizable physics
model, lap telemetry that lets you compare your best 3 practice laps while
showing you the setup changes that were on for those laps, lens flare, only 24
drivers (of course NASCAR PSX was limited to 20 I think). And of course, in
NASCAR 98 your car can and does get to go airborne in a wreck. NASCAR 98 is
fun if you have a Playstation and want to enjoy the thrills of NASCAR racing
without the cumbersome aspects of a full blown simulation, but if you're the
kind of person that will get bent out of shape because some aspect of the
simulation is off, then you'll probably find something to get mad at with it.
I enjoy both games, and of course and more of a purist so NASCAR 2 on the PC
with my Rendition board is my first choice, but I am having plenty of fun with
NASCAR 98. Its just a matter of asking what your expectations are.

Gary
i disagree...psx is close to some computer games...like t.p.98 on both formats
it kicks tail....just an opinion
