What do i edit in driver.ini, to get not so much distance between
the best Ai. car and the worst?
In a 9 lap race on Spa there are many minutes in difference.
Maybe thats realistic, but this is a game. Very good one though :)

If you want the AI to race at their natural speed the best way to do this is
to disable global hype.  Global hype is the system whereby the AI race at
speeds governed by your own best lap times.  This is supposed to give better
racing for beginners.  To disable global hype edit the gpl_ai.ini file and
change the line:

npt_override = 0.00    ; set to > 0.0 to override normalized player time

to

npt_override = 1.00    ; set to > 0.0 to override normalized player time

This sets the drivers to race at their "correct" speeds. Setting the number
to greater than 1 slows the cars down.  Setting the number to less than 1
speeds the cars up.

Cheers

Phil

see if u can find a utility called aitweak, it should be available on
one or 2 of the decent GPL sites.  Well any "GOOD" GPL site should have
it, but alas i guess some aren't so good +)

With Aitweak u can adjust the AI to your hearts content.

It seems to be, that high values of npt_override not only slow down the AI
cars - there will also be more distance between the best AI car and the
worst. Is there a simple way to make AI slower without this side effect? I
usually have npt_override set to 1.00, but at some tracks this is a bit too
much to handle...
