O.K., guys, ask yourself these questions about saving your replays:

1.  How long was the race, you just saved?

2.  How much memory do I have in my system?

For a short race, a 16meg. system is fine.  If your trying to grab a
long race on a 16meg. system, you will usually "MAX" out the 8megs of
16megs your has avaivable for replays.  This is where guys are having
problems with their saved replays.

3.  Not having enough Hard Drive space can be a problem, so, check your
free H.D. space, BEFORE logging into the HAWAII system. Don't ya want
that killer SERIES replay!! :)

If the "camera" jumps around, was there MORE than 10 racers/clients
within the race?  If there was, yes, the camera will jump around.  This
is because of the limitation on the Hawaii race server, only able to
send YOU, the closest 10-11 racers around you.  Small sized races have
VERY good saved replays!!!

What's going on is that in multiplayer, you don't have information on the
full field, just the cars which are nearby, so the replay also has limited
information.  You should have a pretty accurate replay for those cars which
are close to yours, but for large field races, you'll see a lot of jumping
around unless you keep focused on your own car.

I've never used Hawaii, but wouldn't it be possible for Papyrus to store
entire replays for each race on their server for a period of, say, a week
after each race? People could then download entire replays via modem, or
selectively watch replays direct from the server. This would get around
the problem of cars "jumping", as I presume that the server stores position
vectors for the whole field. As Hawaii progresses and serious racing series
arise on it, I'm sure many people would be interested in watching replays
of important or particularly exciting races, even if they didn't compete
in them themselves.

It is a little annoying to be watching a replay and have the car disappear
on one frame, you advance a frame and then step through the cars to find it
again. It would be nice if the replay engine would remember which car you
were focused on and return to that car.

If you're looking at cars that aren't involved in an 'incident', they look
fine.  Once they make contact with something, they tend to 'warp'.

I am NOT paranoid.  And why are you always watching me?!?
