I'm a racing fan but I like multiplayer games too, especially those that can
be played over internet (either with built-in tcp/ip support or via kali). I
see so many posts on Nascar, F1GP, F1GP2, IndyCar1 and 2, and now
I'm getting my hopes up for Whiplash.. it looks like a good game.. what
should I get? :)

Well, certainly not whiplash anyway. If it's a port of Fatal Racing (as
I think it was called here in the UK) then it's ***of the first order.
Go for GP2 when it's released, I doubt anyone will be disappointed by
the raves it's had so far!

You might want to check out the February Computer *** World
magazine. They compare several racing games, both racing sims (i.e.,
Nascar, ICR2, F1GP2) and arcade racing games (NFS, Screamer, etc.).

I don't think you'll go far wrong with any of Indycar 2, Nascar or
F1GP2 (when it finally gets released, that is). Be warned that Indycar
2 is still pretty buggy - you might want to wait for a patch disk
before getting that. I highly recommend Nascar - who would have
thought that driving around in circles could be so entertaining ? If
you're prepared to wait, however, F1GP2 will probably be so good
you'll want to have its children !

Without playing "mine's better than yours" games, don't you think

"Nascar, ICR2, F1GP (or F1GP2), or NFS" (in no particular order) would

The absolute best Games for real simulaetd racing are IndyCar II for IndyCar fans,
NASCAR for NASCAR fans, and GrandPrix II should be the hottest Formula 1 game when
it ships at the end of March. You can get free demos to these games by going to
the Papyrus web site or the Spectrum Holobyte web site. My web site has jumps to
Papyrus and Spectrum - later we'll add direct FTP connections for Demos.
