MGPR2 Problems

by That Toff G » Thu, 22 Oct 1998 04:00:00

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyboy else has experienced some problems with Monaco
Grand Prix Racing Simulation 2.  First, I have a Voodoo 2 and a TNT, and
the voodoo works just fine.  I thought i'd give the Direct3D version a try
to see some hires stuff.  Unfortunately, under my TNT, textures are all
washed out, or completely missing, and the text looks like a bunch of
jibberish (colored blocks where lettering should be). Thankfully I have
the voodoo 2 to play it with.  Second, the sound is all garbled with my
Turtle Beach A3D card.  Sheesh, buy a new computer with the latest stuff
and nothing works! What good is that?  Well thanks for any help!

Hi!

Here are my workarounds:

* disable direct sound 3D for your A3d sound card (control panel)
* disable auto mipmapping for TNT (control panel)

hope this helps

I can't help with the graphics problem, but with the A3D soundcard if you go
into your soundcard control panel and check the box to disable hardware
acceleration, the sound should be OK. I have an A3D card and it worked for
me, the sound used to alternate between speakers and sounded sort of
(Bubbly?).
Hope this helps
