Cool!!  Gonna have it done in time for the US release of GP3? <g>
(BTW-I hope Paul doesn't read this NG.  He may not be happy with your
spelling of his last name!)

Good news by the way, track from GP2 can be imported in the track
editor...

He may be a bit disappointed that his request that this news not be
posted to r.a.s. yet was not followed, but with the news appearing on
90% of the sim-racing sites it was likely anyway.

Why the heck would he want such thing?***that, news is news and when I
see a public website releasing a track editor for a racing simulation, then
it's appropriate to post on r.a.s.

Am I missing something here??

Unfortunately I'm not telepathic and I didn't know this. He didn't
mention this on his website so there was no way I could have known
this.
And I also can't see the logic why he doesn't want this news mentioned
on RAS, but it can be posted on every sim racing site.

Haven't tested it, but it should work.

Because if he gets to many hits too quickly he could lose his webspace
maybe?

Slottweak suffered this same thing this very week, and if all the GP3
owners in the world go this weeekend and go downloading a 1Mb file, that
4 the majority is useless (GP track edititng is not easy, certainly not
as easy as making up a quake lev.) then his bandwidth allowance is gonna
be shot to shit.

Thats why.

Alan.

Good thinking, GP3 fans will only read RAS and not all those GP3
sites.
Anyway, where and when did he ask this? A message on his site would
have helped.
There is a message on his site that the editor may not be put for
download on other sites. That's not a good way of saving bandwidth
either...

Thhis is totally awesome news. GP3 is worth buying for these reason
alone - the only modern sim with a full track editor available. Bring
on the banked Monza!

Note that the track editor, if registered, can even import GP2 tracks.
Which means we should have a ton of tracks - including classics like
old-time Monza and Germany without the chicanes - in no time!
