Frame Rate hit with SBLive MP3+

Anyone see a frame rate hit when you installed a SBLive sound card. DTR was
unplayable after installing the card. So I uninstalled and did a reinstall
of the game and it's great now, but GPL still seems to be a few FPS down
from what it was before. Haven't tried a reinstall of GPL yet.
The sound is great though. I also installed the Cambridge Soundworks FSP2000
speakers in case anyone is interested in this pair. I am using the digital
connectors. Music and games sounds are superb.

This may have something to with DX 7.0.  I was able to regain my frame rates
with a re-install of win98 and DX 6.1 only. Judging by the amount of
discussion there are definitely some issues with DX 7.0 which need
resolving.
