Need for Speed really pissed me off last weekend.
1) I was doing the tournament mode at 'vertigo ridge.'  In the Ferrari,
I ran a 5:22, fastest lap time, fastest speed, and fastest overal time by
10 second and i came in Third!!!  This is a stupid!!!  The computer does
not run at a set speed.  It will run as fast or slow as you do.  This pisses
me off.  In Nascar and IndyCar, you can set the speed of the cars as a
percentage of top performance.

2)  On costal, the computers car crashed.  with .7 miles left, the time
said he/she was 10.7 second behind me.  At the end, .7 miles latter, I
won by 1 second.  I was in a porsche, and he was in a supra.  Explain
this.  I was driving fast and good, so how is it that he made up 10
second in .7 miles.  This is way unrealistic, and it irritates me grately!!!

I guess it's because NFS is an arcade type game.  The computer cars
aren't really racing when you can't see them.  (notice they are not in
the replay when they get too far from you).  Whatever speed you run,
they run a little slower.  This means that when racing them,
consistency is key.  As long as you don't crash and run reasonably
consistent laps you can beat them.
