...and Sandown and Oran Park for good measure.

Agreed.  Brands Hatch Indy would be a hoot with 40 cars!

Another nod here.  Laguna '67 is great fun in an FD car.

Why hold back, let's have all 3 iterations. ;-)

As well as the other variations.

...and it's a current T/A stop.

I read on the WORRL board that a beta version is coming in the near future.

We have the current full Glen w/ inner loop.  Should be available at The
Pits.  Very nicely done track.  Also, Tim Wheatley has done a no-loop patch
for the NASCAR Glen, available in the RSC forum.

Others I'd like to see...

26. Barber Motorsports Park. - Could easily host a contemporary T/A event.
The GPL version by Smogbike is a fun drive.

27. Another Donington vote.  Both versions.

28. Desert Winds Raceway.  Fictional, but was a very interesting infield
course.

29. IMS USGP.  Not the most inspiring layout, but does present interesting
challenges/compromises, plus the tradition.

30. Willow Springs.  The high speed sweepers would be fun with PTA cars.

3x. Any other circuit T/A have used in the past 10-15 yrs.

YMMV.

Yup.  I started with the SCGT track and spent a lot of time fixing the
Keyhole (AFAIK I'm the only one to actually get the entry right, though
the Papy version isn't as bad to start with) and the Carousel exit
before we released it for F1-2002.  There's a much prettier version by
Spider500, but he copied the incorrect Keyhole entry.  I have a patch
to fix it, and the combination is probably the best version available
for F1-2002.  At least it feels more correct now. ;-)

Man do I agree.  I HATE watching street courses on TV.  It's like a long-ass
parade with no action.

Unless someone stops 100 feet short of the finish line to get
congratulations from their crew, and ends up losing the race LOL!

Spa? Rouen? Reims? Adelaide?

Nothing wrong with the odd road course! Now if you're talking Detroit,
Phoenix,Las Vegas <shudder>, different story!

I kind of like Malaysia - may be a liking for the country itself
(fantastic place), but a modern track with <gasp> overtaking (at least
if your name's Montoya)

The best overtaking track this year was Silverstone!  Barricello drove like
a man posessed.  (Come to think, that nutter who wandered onto the track
looked a little posessed himself!)

I've seen Lime Rock mentioned a couple-three times in this thread, is it
available for download anywhere yet? I've been searching quite a bit and
haven't come up with anything yet.

I just spent last weekend there with the NASCAR Busch North Series and as a
stock car fan who practically grew up at the track it's really the only
add-on track I consider a Must Have.

Thanks for any pointers.

Where might one download your handiwork?

The CPR version that was ported to SCGT/NH/et al was vastly improved from
Papy's.

A-ha, another road course - if you're driving a plane that is :-)

Silverstone this year was really entertaining, but it's still a crappy
track to get to, and a crappy track to watch a race at. For some
reason it's always been one of my least favourite tracks to "drive"
also (in sims). GPL was pretty much the exception, because although it
doesn't have the good bits of the modern track (Beckets section) it
lacks the very awful bits (all of Luffield etc).

I was insulting the track, not the city.

I'm sure aside from inventing house music and the *** rate Detroit
is a wonderful place. =)

D'oh!  I don't check in here enough!  I think it's only available as
part of our LeMans 2002 mod at http://sm.racesimcentral.com/SSM/ at the
moment.  Unfortunately, it's not optimized for FPS in the release; a
problem which will be rectified when we get the LM2001-2003 mod for
F1C.  I need to bring the track up to date.
