MGPRS2 hesitations

Hi , I have been having problems with RS2 hesitating. I have a Celeron
p300 o/c to 338, 128mb ram and I just bought an ATI RAGE FURY graphics
accelerator. I had an ATI EXPERT installed and while the FURY gives me a
much higher resolution and smoother gameplay, I still get hesitations in the
game at certain locations on all tracks. Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks,

I have the same simptoms on Superbike World Championship. My computer is a
Celeron 333 with a Voodo2. But, and I think that the problem is, both games
are using D3D (DX 6.1).

I also have F1RS, NFS3, FIFA99, NBA99 and all of them are using Glide and I
have NO hesitations at all.
In this case, the guilt is probably that D3D is too slow compared to Glide.

I had some hesitation problems with a P2-450 and a voodoo 3 3000 card.
Following advice from this group I copied the glide dll file off the
installation CD into the game directory snd this made a big difference.
Still slight glitches but much better.

It has also been suggested on some websites that the gameport causing the
hesitations in this game.

I have a Celeron 300a o/c to 450, 128mb ram and a STB Velocity TNT ASP card
and I do not get any hesitations in the game.
I also bought a Voodoo2 card.. and it seems it runs better on the voodoo2
card, even if it doesn't look as good as the D3D version.
