Thurstmaster Ferrari F1 Wheel - Any good?

Andi
I'm interested in this subject. Why do you use Thrustmapper to set up split
axes when it can be done in Windows Control Panel? I've never used
Thrustmapper because I couldn't see the point.

Thurstmaster Ferrari F1 Wheel - Any good?

by Iain Mackenzi » Sun, 05 Jan 2003 17:22:24

As I said in another post, I have had real problems with the TM drivers and
I don't use the Thrustmapper utility.  I get regular blue screens and
freezing in ALL racing sims with the TM/Guillemot wheel.  If I turn FF or
split axes off the problem doesn't happen.
No instability with any other type of game or app. Definitely down to the
wheel's drivers.

Ian,

I can't select split pedals in the Control panel for this wheel.

Andi.

Are we all getting confused as to which wheel we're talking about here. We
are not talking of the original Guillemot Ferrari wheel that has been out a
while. we rae talking about the newly released F1 Force Feedback Wheel with
teh replica Ferrari wheel.

Sorry Andi. If you are talking about the new F1 wheel, then forget my
question!  It's the older one I have.

Thurstmaster Ferrari F1 Wheel - Any good?

I thought there was some confusion here! I think several people are looking
at the wrong kit with Thrustmaster/Guillemot using similr names for two
products.

Cheers.

Andi.
