which OS is best for gaming?

Ok, I think we might have a breakdown in communications here, I'll start
over

If you were to buy a new home system with the specific intention of
being able to telecommute, you'd check with the IT department what to
look for, right ?

That's what I'd do, spending my hard earned dosh on something which
can't be used for it's intended purpose is something I really hate, and
if I don't know how things work I ask for advice, I may be naive but I
assume other people do the same :-)

So if I want to be able to telecommute, I ask the IT dep what I should
be looking for when I go out and spend my (or the company's) money, of
course, if the silly blighter doesn't check with the IT dep, it's his
own fault

In any case I'm not blaming the OS or MS
