Hi Folks    just bought GPL and cannot wait to get it up and running but
now need to buy a wheel and upgrade my video card. What would be you

I am running 128 mg of ram and have plenty of disk space
Thanks in advance

A voodoo 5 and a MSFF wheel would be nice --or a LWFF wheel

The RAM doesn't matter for anything except the replay buffer - GPL only
needs 32 megs. As for video card - the fastest Voodoo you can afford
(though a V3 will be fine if you don't insist on max detail and silly
resolutions). Wheel? Most people like the Logitech Wingman FF, but I
prefer the Microsoft version (NB: this causes a significant slowdown,
but assuming you have adecent CPU it shouldn't be a problem).

Newbie Wheel and vid Card???????

I use the LWFF wheel and I have a GeForce card.
With the new D3D patch for GPL a GeForce card is absolutely your best bet.
Almost all new games will run better on a GeForce than a Voodoo.  With older
games, both are equally good.
It may not be a popular view on ras but 3dfx are in trouble and really
cannot compete with the new GeForce cards.
If you were buying a card SPECIFICALLY for GPL I would say go Voodoo, but
for everything else, the Geforce (or Geforce2 if you have the cash) is the
way to go.

Just my 2 cents, and you get what you pay for...

Currently the fastest cards out there are the GeForce 2 GTS and the Voodoo5
5500...

Here are some reviews about both cards:
GeForce 2 GTS

Voodoo5 5500

But remember unless your cpu isn't faster as 550 mhz these cards won't reach
their full potential...
