Schumacher turns in before he brakes!!

Jan, thats exactly the way I feel and thats why I`m having fun with F1-2000.
I like to race online in a car I really enjoy driving and F1-2000 offers me
that (fun is fun). Fran?ois, I know exactly where you are coming from as
well and I also agree with you... I`ve also been waiting for something that
can be called a "true modern F1 >SIM<" and other than GP2 (in it`s time) I
dont think any company has come close to making one.... they all seem to
have major shortcomings in on area or another. They call these things "sims"
but usually they dont come close to living up to what that title [should]
represent. The job of making a "perfect sim" is no doubt a ***e.... but
it`s amazing to me how many totaly stupid mistakes are made in most
sim`s.... some mistakes are nothing but oversites that should never have
happend. Other mistakes are probably the result of budget and\or rushing to
ship the product. In any case, I look forward to the day someone gets it
right in all areas (maybe GP3?). But until then I can only deal with the
shortcomings and spend time with the F1 sim I have the most fun with....
right now thats F1-2000

All the best,
Lorne

To answer your questions.

Schumacher was the ONLY driver to do this.. and he only did it once.  It was
on his final qualifying lap where he probably would have got pole.

He probably had litterally 2 laps of fuel left, perfect tires.. and yes..
I saw it with my own eyes.

He turned into the corner before he slowed down (ie braked).

But he was the only one to do this and it was only on one lap where his car
was setup perfectly.

I just was "gob smacked"..  I couldn't believe it, but I definately saw
it...

So now the series of events is...

Lights Red..  lights out...  accelerate..  up shift...   drive past the
150...  past the 100....  past the 50....   turn in...  apex..   BRAKE!!!!
:-)

Just change your gears.  It's not so disturbing.

You misunderstand me.  I mean the AI drivers.  I always do my own shifting
(sims and reality).  To me, it detracts from the suspension of disbelief when
the AI is doing something that just isn't so.  Then again, the manual for F12K
shows a lot of 1st gear turns.  Truth or fiction?
