GPL: design of actual cars

I'm trying to find information on the structure of the actual Grand
Prix cars modeled in GPL.  Particularly the cocpit section.  I'm
hoping to build a mock-pit to use when driving the sim and would like
to try and make it as realistic as I can.  I'm hopeing to find info on
either the Lotus 49, Brabham BT24 or the EagleT1-G.

Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Steve-S

PS.  If you happen to be interested in this sort of thing please check
out www.simpits.org It's mostly flight sim oriented but not
completely.  And yes I'm asking there too. :-)

Go to your library and see if they have, or can get you a copy of "Racing
and Sports Car Chassis Design" by Michael Costin and David Phipps. Also
L.J.K. Setright's The Grand Prix, 1906 to 1972.

These should give you everything you need, plus enough cool stuff to keep
you goggle eyed for a week or two.

For the Lotus 49 and the Eagle, a recent edition of the English 'MotorSport'
magazine featured both cars.

I havn't seen this. Does it feature actual construction details such as
frame/tub diagrams or just pictures/illustrations of the more common mode?
