N2 Question about pits

I was just wondering if anyone has found a way to move your pit up so it isn't
the last one on pit lane.  I noticed when you do a multiplayer game it picks a
driver and car for you as well as a different pit.  If there isn't a way to
move your pit up, is there a way to spoof the game into thinking you are in a
multiplayer game?

The AI cars don't "know" how to pit before any of the player pits. (One
could argue that they barely know how to get into pits following the
player pits... :-) )

Therefore, the player pits are always the first N pits on the lane,
followed by all the AI pits.

Jim,

Why could Papy just assign the pit number based on qualifying order?  I am
not sure why it would be any more difficult.  Assign a variable instead of
a constant for the pit number.  Just asking.

Uh, because then the AI cars would be unable to pit cleanly, causing
more crashes in the pits.
