I have bought NFS III, and would like to play on my home LAN with my son.
But the game refuses to start if there is no CD !!
Then I made a copy of the CD, as a personal backup, but the game doesnt
start at all.
Is there any trick or patch to allow me to play on my LAN ?
Codemasters includes such features in ist game, and we both enjoy playing
TOCA 2 on the LAN, with one CD only, and no need to copy it.

If I'm not mistaken NFS3 has copy protection on it, so you can't make a good
copy.

I found some work arounds here. One problem on my system is that after
applying the "fix", there is no in game music. This makes sense, since the
music is on the CD. Everything else works as it should.

I tried that once in a CD tower (shared device). Didn't work there, either...
