They can be up to 4 times the speed of ISDN if reports I've read are true,
but even at the lower end of the scale they are at least twice as fast.
Don't know where in the UK you are Rob..are you on NTL Cabletel? if so they
have installed it oop north tha knows :-) but I have to wait till November
here in Cardiff which is one of the last places to get it out of the
original locations Cabletel said they were going to supply. Apparently they
are charging 40 flat free (i.e no call charges) for unlimited access (so
this makes me wonder how well a N3 or GP server would run on cable for a
24hr 7 day week server :-) ) but you also have to subscribe to their cable
ISP for the princely sum of 8 a month.
