ATTENTION ALL ICR DRIVERS!

by Tony Joh » Sun, 24 Jul 1994 05:05:09

I am currently at work forming the rules and logistics for a "spinoff" of
the popular Internet/AOL series ICRS, based on my ICRNAS collection of
NASCAR paintjobs.  The series, of course, will be called ICRNAS, and the
first race is tentatively scheduled to run on July 31st.

The series is similar in basic format to the ICRS series, except that the
rules and tracks will be more akin to NASCAR racing than IndyCar racing.
For instance, here is a list of some of the features of this series:

*       Racing on oval tracks only
*       Separate qualifying before the race as well as record keeping in
        NASCAR points format
*       "Virtual" tire companies with different compounds for each race
*       Brickyard 400 included in the series (possible full length race)
*       Manufacturer's championship as well as pole tracking

The rules are nearly completed, but I need to establish a mailing list of
users interested.  Ideally, the limit for drivers is 20.  There is only
one division.

I will be the only director, as everyone is still in the throes of the
ICRS season, so ICRNAS 1 will only run five or six races tops.

your real name, your email address, your team name, and your preferred
car body style (Ford Thunderbird, etc.)  You may have teams, but only
three cars are allowed per team and you need to send me the names of your
teammates in your message, along with full email-addresses.

Send questions or comments to the same address.

Happy racing!
