Seeing as GP3s release date has now been confirmed as 28 July
in the UK (and that my local Electronics Boutique have coming
soon marked boxes and apparently games in stock already!), Im
wondering if anyone knows about, or has an opinion on system
requirements.

I hope Im not going to have to plan an upgrade AGAIN....my
current system:

Celeron 433
64 Mb RAM
Voodoo 3 2000

    Wait til game come out.  A bit more ram wouldn't hurt though...

If its like GP2, then we will ALL have to wait at least 3 years before its
playable with all graphics on :(

Not quite.  It is already running smoothly on computers which exist now.
This is quite a different situation than with GP2, where there were no
computers in 1996 which could run it at full detail in SVGA.  OK, maybe it
needs a PIII-800 and GeForce to do it (I doubt it) but it's not so far out
of reach.

Unlike GP2, Grand Prix 3 takes advantage of a 3D card.  That makes a
huge difference.
