Minimum system requirement to run GP2?

by ww.. » Wed, 30 Oct 1996 04:00:00

I have a 486sx33, 210 HD, 8 meg ram and I know that this
is insufficient to run GP2.  I am thinking about upgrading
with a 586 133 chip and of course a larger hardrive.  My
question is this: The 586 133 chip is said to be equivalent
to a pentium 75.  Will I be able to run GP2 properly or
satisfactorily with this setup?  I would like to upgrade with
a pentium motherboard but it is considerably more expensive.
If I go this route, what pentium chip should I go for. I
only want to do this once.  Realistically a pentium 100
motherboard is all I can manage but the next step up is 133.
I realize that a new computer with a pentium pro 200 is the
best answer but I cannot handle this right now.  Therefore,
if I upgrade what would you folks recommend?  I want to be
able to run racing games and get the most out of them for
the lowest hardware upgrade buck.  Email me personally or
post here.  Thanks!

Rob
