Ah, just saw this and got out my tape measure.  The bottom of the monitor image
is about 14.5 inches above the table, and the top of the image is at about 24
inches.  At my normal driving position, my eyes are at about 17 inches.  The
monitor is probably too high currently.  I've been have problems with a stiff
neck and shoulders while driving recently...

Mine is almost exactly the same Eldred. Although my wheel usually stays
fixed and the keyboard is rarely used on the pc, since I got a Mac to do
the *real* work, like typing this message  ;)

(Well, Mac, I should say OS X Unix machine, really. The old Mac is
basically dead.)

something like:

I have no idea what might be the best monitor height for driving...
what I wrote earlier goes for typing and such. Neck and shoulder
problems may come from the driving position in general (chair, pedals
wheel...).

Some time ago I also had problems with my neck and shoulders while
driving... but I had been installing ceiling heating elements, so the
driving position wasn't the problem itself, although the symptoms
appeared only while driving.
