GPVL F2 Division Needs Drivers

Greeting Fellow Racers!

I'm happy to formally announce the 2002 GPVL F2 Championship season. We currently need 10
more drivers to fill out the field.
A few things have changed for this year, the races are a bit longer, the season a bit
shorter, and the 'cars' are now just 'car'.

Race distance will now be approximately 1 hour 15 minutes based on practice time
estimates. Please leave your times in the newsgroup. It's nice to know how fast one's
competitor is, and I will need to calculate lap counts from your times. The GPVL has it's
own private newsgroup.

The season will be 15 races with 11 counting towards your final score. The schedule is up
on the web site.

Only one car will be allowed for the 2002 GPVL F2 season - the Brabham. After testing it's
come to my attention that the Brab may not be the quickest car at most tracks, but it's a
top notch racer. I enjoy driving it. Scope the default setups for Anderstorp, Crystal
Palace, Diamante, and Keimola. They're quite good.

The guys that are racing are gentlemen in every sense of the word. We race for fun and
camaraderie. If that sounds like you and you've been aching to get the Brabham F2 out for
some medium length races then please join us.

I might have been interested except for the 'Brabham only' rule. IMO it
handles like a barge compared to most of the f2 cars. Never mind.
